Don't Ignore Tummy Aches

5:30am and daughter wakes up with belly issues. Naturally, my first inclination is,

'Must of been all that chocolate you had yesterday. Come on, let's get you some Pepto.'

A little while later,

'Here, let's try a little 7up.'

Why not? It always helped my sour belly as a kid. I'm sure it would do the trick!

9am and still no relief. Daughter is still in pain and agrees to rush to the emergency.

Blood tests, vomit, an MRI, and several hours later, it is confirmed that the culprit is the appendix.

At about 5pm, she goes to surgery.

Poor thing.

It was awful seeing her sedated and drugged.

She is recovering quickly. If it were me, I would stay in bed for a week and milk it for all I could. She is practically back to her old self.

Some where I heard that if your child couldn't handle jumping up and down it could be appendicitis, so I used make my poor daughters jump when they cried their belly hurt after 7 up......

Oh no! So sorry! I hope she is feeling better and back to normal.

I always worry about appendicitis when my littles complain of tummy pain.

The good thing...it wasn't ruptured?? I can only imagine how hard it must be to see your baby in the hospital, having surgery and in pain like that.
Hoping she is back to normal!
I hope all of you have a beautiful weekend!
