Today is my wedding anniversary!
11 years ago, I got married by the sea on the island of St. Lucia.
I wore a bikini top and sarong. He wore shorts and an island print shirt. The witnesses, maid of honor, and best man were complete strangers. The wedding cake I remember was so gross, I couldn't swallow a bite.
Our friends and family knew of our wedding/honeymoon plans, though we didn't invite a soul. This was my day, my moment to enjoy without hassles and stress. Neither was I ever the little girl who grew up dreaming of a huge white wedding. Ahhhh...don't think so bad of me...we did of course have a party for loved ones a few weeks after getting back.

We have absolutely no regrets about how we handled it nor the route we decided to take. It was perfect for us. Wouldn't change a thing about it. It was the most fantastic trip of my life.

Aw.. Happy Anniversary! Mine is tomorrow (9-10) and we're celebrating 21 years. Sheesh.. where did the time go?!?
